The trailhead for this hike is located in the Cove palisades state park. Follow the signs to the Tam-a-lau trailhead and park in the day-use boat parking lot. An alternate is to camp at the Deschutes campground.(Lat:44.53178 Lon:-121.29028)

This is a very nice hike that you can easily accomplish in less that 4 hours.
The views of this trail are very nice and the weather too.
